Everyone has a Risk Number. What’s Yours?

What We Do…

The first step is to answer a 5-minute questionnaire that covers topics such as portfolio size, top financial goals, and what you’re willing to risk for potential gains. Then we’ll pinpoint your exact Risk Number to guide our decision making process.

Whether your goals are income generation, charitable donations or leaving a legacy to loved ones, we can build and manage a portfolio that suits your particular needs.

After pinpointing your Risk Number, we’ll craft a portfolio that aligns with your personal preferences and priorities, allowing you to feel comfortable with your expected outcomes. The resulting proposed portfolio will include projections based on historical market analytics

How do you know if you’re on the right path?

At Sivel Capital, we combine our depth of investment knowledge, investment philosophy, and cutting-edge technology in order to empower fearless investing. We’ll take a quantitative approach to pinpointing your Risk Number by going through a series of objective exercises based on actual dollar amounts.

Every person is unique and has certain characteristics and qualities that make them who they are.  In the same way, every investor has a unique tolerance regarding risk and reward that is frequently independent of age.  Many young investors are not “aggressive,” and many older investors are not “conservative.”  By classifying you improperly and in generality, you may be undermining your ability to meet your specific financial goals and assuming more risk than you really need.

The Risk Number® is an objective, quantitative measurement of an investor’s true risk tolerance and the risk in a portfolio. It is a more efficient way to discuss risk with a client than subjective terms like “moderate” and “aggressive.”  Our Risk Number® approach uses a six-month probability range so you have an accurate expectation (within a 95% confidence level) of the range of returns your portfolio could achieve over that period.  When the market dips, the Risk Number reminds a nervous client that they’re still within their risk tolerance.

Equipped with a genuine Risk Number, your advisor can focus the conversation on the client’s biggest fear, suffering losses.  Our philosophy has always been to minimize our client’s losses in a down market while participating in the growth of an upmarket.  This can be a delicate balancing act however, utilizing a strategy that aligns with your specific goals and risk tolerance has the potential to make all the difference.

Using Riskalyze does not guarantee future investment success. Your Risk Number is subject to change as your financial circumstances change. Projections based on historical market analytics rely on assumptions that may not come to pass. Past performance does not guarantee future investment success.
